MAGMA Engineer Visits Meadow View School's STEM Students

Meadow View School in Country Club Hills, IL invited MAGMA to come and speak with their students. MAGMA joined the STEM lab teacher for the school and spoke with the students about careers in metal casting, what drove him to become an engineer, and more specifically, what it takes to have a career in STEM? The students had questions ranging from where he grew up, what his educational background was, what kind of engineer he is, and what industry he was in. The students seemed to be keenly interested in the foundry industry, and especially enjoyed some of the sample castings MAGMA brought. It was especially exciting considering the examples included some very well-known brands they could identify with. Although these students are a few years away from starting their own professional careers, MAGMA is grateful for the opportunity to jumpstart, reach out, and inspire the next generation of future engineers.
