A Comparison of Spray Modeling in MAGMASOFT®
Abstract: We discuss the application of spray lubricants in the die casting process. What are the benefits and downsides to this, and how can it be modeled into MAGMASOFT®? Using several different approaches, we’ll discuss the simulation of die spray and blow off in MAGMASOFT®, and how this relates to correlation of die steel temperatures and its effects on die casting simulations in general.
