Abstract: Steel foundries are being challenged more than ever to provide high-quality steel castings at the lowest possible cost to the casting buyer. Remaining competitive and flourishing in this type of environment requires that production costs are known and taken into account when designing tooling and developing manufacturing processes for new and existing jobs. Join our steel casting engineers as we explore how using autonomous optimization in MAGMASOFT®, with a focus on manufacturing cost objectives, helps to ensure that each casting is produced at the largest possible profit margin for the foundry.
