Training

The MAGMAsteel module training comprehensively covers the prediction and evaluation of steel casting quality including, re-oxidation inclusions, natural convection during solidification, macrosegregation, and heat treatment. This course provides users with result evaluation of microstructures and mechanical properties after heat treatment for steel castings. Direct users of the MAGMAsteel module are strongly advised to attend this course. In addition, users are required to have attended level I and level II courses and have a good working knowledge of filling and solidification simulation set-ups prior to attending.

• Set up MAGMAsteel simulation (heat treatment optional)
• Evaluate the results of a MAGMAsteel simulation
• Communicate MAGMAsteel results and findings to all areas of their organization
